The Battle is Not Yours

Good morning, This is a Yolanda Adams throwback that really ministered to me this past weekend and I hope that it will do the same for you. The Battle is Not Yours: The first verse says: "There is no pain, Jesus can't feel There is no hurt, that He can't heal For all things work [yes they do] According to the masters purpose and his holy will no matter what [you in the balcony] are going thru, remember that God only wants a chance to use you for the battle is not yours its the Lord's" Fam, we have to remember that in this fight for our lives, what we experience on Earth is never just about us and the situation that we are facing. The nature of the supernatural reality is that there are forces greater than ourselves always seeking to pull us in various directions: either closer to or further from God. In every life circumstance, both in hardship and triumph, we are challenged to make the decision to hand our very lives over to God and to trust in Him to lead and guide us.

In our successes, will we seek for Him to be glorified or will we seek to claim all of the glory for ourselves?

In our hardships, will we trust Him to fight for us? Will we try to take matters into our own hands and forget about His Sovereignty or will we actively seek to lay down our burdens before Him? Will we seek out His wisdom for how to move forward in a way that invites Him to be Lord over our circumstances? Will we accept His invitation in Matthew 11:28-30 that reads: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭NIV‬‬? The enemy is the father of lies, all he knows how to do is lie, and since the beginning that's all he has done. In the midst of your trials, the enemy would have you to feel alone, forgotten, and abandoned by God. These are lies. Difficulty and suffering does not automatically mean that God has forgotten you, that He is punishing you, or that He doesn't care about you, as the enemy would have you to believe. This is why faith is important. The voice of belief recognizes that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1 KJV) Translated in the New International Version as: Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 Faith is knowing that though things may be difficult now for many of us, they will get better and suffering does not get the final say in your destiny. Faith is knowing that God sees you in the midst of your trials and that the steps of the righteous are ordered by Him (Psalm 37:23) so that you may trust and believe that as you seek Him, in all things He works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
